What fired your ambition to start your own business? I had my first big break at Fat Cat Records. I was only cleaning vinyl and organising post but it opened the door to the industry. After that, I had to take all the opportunities I was given and build contacts. I travelled a lot and worked in some pretty difficult environments, so building up lots of experience.

What’s been a career high? One of my highlights was when Bloc Party were the penultimate headliners at Reading. I’ve had some pretty fun experiences with my bands – We Are Scientists once missed a flight to a gig so we convinced the label to charter a private jet!
What’s the best careers advice that you’ve been given? Interning is hard but it’s important. Once you’ve got a placement, work hard and impress people –be confident and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
