Most of us would want to look our best on our wedding day, whether it's losing weight or getting a professional make-up artist for a flawless face.
But some brides are now resorting to more extreme measures to look their best.
A survey has revealed 10 per cent of brides have plastic surgery or botox injections before their big day.
UK clinics are also reporting an increase in requests for pre-wedding day procedures. The trend even has a new name - 'bridalplasty'.
Riccardo Frati, a plastic surgeon at the Harley Medical Group says the most popular surgeries are liposuction and breast implants.
He adds: 'We have seen a 13 per cent rise year-on-year in bookings for pre-wedding surgical treatments'.

However, psychologists are worried about the trend, blaming celebrity culture for promoting a message of perfection.
Dr Baljit Rana, a Chartered Psychologist at Birmingham City University says: 'It’s little wonder that brides, who face spending a day posing for photos they will keep for ever, are feeling such pressure to look perfect they will go under the knife to achieve it.
‘You’re about to marry the man you love, in front of your family and friends. That should be enough reassurance that you’re fabulous, not a surgeon’s scalpel.’
