Watermelon similar to Viagra
Why watermelon could boost your sex life
Why watermelon could boost your sex life
Eating watermelon can boot a man's libido in the same way as taking Viagra, according to researchers.
Scientists have discovered that the fruit has an ingredient – an organic compound called citrulline - which affects the body's blood vessels, just as Viagra does when a man takes the sex enhancement drug.
Lead researcher, Dr Patel, commented on the discovery: 'The more we study watermelons, the more we realize just how amazing a fruit it is in providing natural enhancers to the human body.
'We've always known that watermelon is good for you, but the list of its very important health benefits grows longer with each study.'
Other health advantages of the fruit include improving heart health, the immune system and those who suffer from type 2 diabetes. Nearly 92% of watermelon is water, but the leftover 8% is packed with lycopane, an anti-oxidant that protects the human heart, prostate and skin health.
