Hot Pod Yoga: The New Fitness Craze That's Blowing Up Right Now
Bored of trekking to your fitness class? Switch to pop-up yoga that comes to you.

Bored of trekking to your fitness class? Switch to pop-up yoga that comes to you.
When it takes circa the same level of effort to hike to the yoga studio, as the class itself, it's no wonder our good intentions barely last past the beginning of February. But now there's something new and rather fun making it's mark on the bendy circuit - Hot Pod Yoga.
It's basically all the same Bikram bending and in the same 37 degree heat haze, but in an inflatable dome-like tent.
Those of us who spent childhood summers Euro-camping in the blazing sunshine will be all too aware of the knock-out temperatures tents can reach, but lose the sleeping bags and cooking utensils and it's an altogether more pleasant experience.
Enclosed in a bubble with intermittant glowing walls, it's all rather womb-like, but be prepared to still work hard because, on average, a single class burns 700 calories.
But the real pull of the pop-up approach to fitness is the portability, because just like camping, you can pitch up a pod pretty much anywhere you like, or you can even gett them to come to you. Hot Pod Yoga sessions can be set up in your office or even in your house - if you've got the space and seven willing friends. Alternatively, regular classes are just £12 and take place throughout London and Birmingham, with plans to go nationwide in the coming months.
Don't fancy hot yoga? How about a spot of winter running instead? Here's why we're loving it...
