Folk is officially back on the fashion map, and here's our guide to getting it right...
This season, we're moving on from all things boho and embracing something a little fancier, and a little less summery, by taking on fashion's favourite new folk trend.
Part 70s retro, part floral, and featuring a lot of suede and a fair amount of embroidery - the folk trend is not for the faint hearted.
The good news? There are few restrictions style-wise, meaning there are plenty of ways to wear the trend.
Love those suede knee high boots? You'll find they work seamlessly with your floaty summer dresses. Fancy a peasant-style blouse? Wear with your hero flares and platform heels. Quite like the look of fringing? Go for Zara's black bucket-style shoulder bag.
For those looking for something that focuses on designer embroidery, head to Vilshenko and Talitha for some seriously cool, fash-pack-approved options.
If you're feeling brave, the easiest way to take on the trend is by slipping into that Mango patchwork midi dress. Just add some knee boots and a suede waistcoat and you're good to go.
