Netflix is remaking these Roald Dahl stories and we're SO excited
Yaaaas.
Yaaaas.
We're in for some absolute treats when it comes to the soon-to-be-released movie remakes. Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Dumbo - Disney is going hard on the re-imaginings of some of our favourite childhood movies.
But they're not the only ones.
Netflix has announced that we'll be getting some of the Roald Dahl classics in animated form, including the likes of Matilda, The BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
For anyone who loves the live-action versions of these movies, you'll no doubt want to tune in to see what Netflix does with these adaptations. Will Miss Trunchbull still be the most terrifying headteacher we've ever known? Can the animated Willy Wonka ever live up to Gene Wilder's portrayal? And will The BFG still make us cry?
We'll have to wait until next year to find out.
Netflix is calling it a 'new slate of original animated event series' which many are taking to mean that each story will be told in a single episode - but some fans of the idea are hoping that they'll stretch each one out for a whole series.

Other titles included in the list are The Twits, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, George’s Marvellous Medicine, Boy: Tales of Childhood.
Roald Dahl's widow Felicity released a statement, saying: 'Our mission, which is purposefully lofty, is for as many children as possible around the world to experience the unique magic and positive message of Roald Dahl's stories.
'This partnership with Netflix marks a significant move toward making that possible and is an incredibly exciting new chapter for the Roald Dahl Story Company. Roald would, I know, be thrilled.'
There are some obvious choices missing from the list - ahem, James and the Giant Peach - but overall it looks like a pretty epic line-up.
We're SO excited.
