Princess Eugenie’s Instagram posts never fail to go viral, with her platform now boasting over one million followers.
While other royal social media accounts are bound by rules and regulations, Eugenie’s seems to be a bit more relaxed, with the princess posting fun throwback snaps with her sister Beatrice and cute couple selfies with her now husband Jack Brooksbank.
It was her Instagram post this week however that really proved controversial, confusing the public.
No it wasn’t a photograph of her scoliosis scar or a wedding snap. Instead, it was a wedding anniversary tribute to her parents.
‘Who else has ever forgotten to congratulate their parents on their wedding anniversary!’ the 29-year-old captioned two throwback snaps from her parents’ wedding. ‘I’m a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago... Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together. @hrhthedukeofyork @sarahferguson15 #weddinganniversary.’
What confused the public however is the fact that Princess Eugenie’s parents are known to be divorced, with the post fuelling rumours that the former couple may be back together.
