Miley Cyrus just got very real about her break up with Liam Hemsworth
And it’s pretty powerful…

And it’s pretty powerful…
After meeting on the set of The Last Song in 2009, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have been one of the most talked about couples in Hollywood, living the most intimate (and turbulent) parts of their eight-year relationship in the public eye.
There have been several engagements, rumoured weddings, break ups, and of course them eventually getting back together (for real this time) just last year, showing us that even A-listers aren't exempt from complicated relationships.
Nowadays however, we consider the couple living proof that getting back together with a long-lost ex is always a possibility, giving us all hope of reconnecting with that one that got away in the future.
Although the couple remained pretty tight lipped about the split at the time (excluding song lyrics of course #WreckingBall), 24-year-old Miley has finally opened up about it, explaining her thoughts on their break up in a recent radio interview.
While appearing on SiriusXM, the singer explained how if she could pass on a piece of advice to her younger self, it would be the reassurance that ‘everything happens for a reason.’
‘I didn’t know if that was the end of it or know if we’d be back together again, but knew that wherever I was going, I was on the right path’, Miley said of her big break up with Liam.

She continued: ‘I think people that break up and get back together, that’s awesome. You get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up. I think if you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being. So I’m really solid, and then he gets to be really solid.'

‘Together we get to be two really grounded people,’ she concluded. ‘It’s not a half and a half making a whole.’
