Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed baby Archie just months ago, ever since bonding privately as a family in their newly renovated Frogmore Cottage home.
In fact, other than Trooping the Colour, we haven’t seen Meghan Markle until this week when she stepped out of her maternity leave for not one but two special occasions.
The first was last weekend to attend a baseball game in London as part of the capital’s three-day American-themed festival. The Duchess, joined by Prince Harry, watched the Major League Baseball match between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, with Meghan even meeting a distant relative, the Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts, who she reportedly invited over for dinner.
But it was Meghan’s second break with maternity leave that was the most surprising, with the Duchess of Sussex making a cameo at Wimbledon.
But unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan wasn’t there for an official visit in the royal box. Instead the former Suits actress sat in the stands to watch old pal Serena Williams play Slovenia’s Kaja Juvan.
Showing that she was off-duty, Meghan went for a casual look, teaming black skinny jeans and an oversized blazer with a pair of Finlay and Co. Henrietta shades.
And she wasn’t alone, accompanied by close friends Lindsay Roth and Genevieve Hillis, with their presence fuelling speculation around potential Godparent choices.
We’re glad to see Meghan is enjoying her maternity leave!
