The supermodel's Instagram account has finally landed
So everyone is on Instagram now, right? Not exactly – it turns out there are still a few famous faces who are late to the party.
Earlier this week saw Kanye West decide it was time he made his Instagram debut, and now, just a few days later Kate Moss has also decided to finally join the social platform – albeit as part of her new modelling agency.
Since leaving Storm last year, Kate Moss has been setting up her own modelling agency which launches this week, coinciding with London Fashion Week.
Kate was first discovered by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm modelling agency at the age of 14 back in 1988 in New York’s JFK airport.
Under Storm she became the face of the 1990s and went on to become one of the most successful supermodels of all time. Of the course of her incredibly long career, she’s graced more covers of Vogue than any other model and has amassed a net worth of around £100m, according to Forbes magazine.
Now Kate is looking to build on that fortune by finding the stars on the future for her new eponymous agency. In an interview with the Business of Fashion, the supermodel said: ‘I don’t really want pretty people… I want to create stars.’

‘I want to focus more on managing people’s careers than just [running] a model agency,’ she said. ‘I want people that want to sing and dance and act.’ And understand how to work social media to their advantage presumably. Speaking of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, Kate said: ‘They’ve definitely got another side with it, like the Instagram side, and they know their business, I think.’
At least Kate first post is a lot more self-explanatory than her fellow Insta-newbie, Kanye West. Kanye decided to confuse, well, everyone by posting an image of Johnny Cab’s taxi from Total Recall. Any idea what it means? Answers on a postcard, please.
