Anna Faris has urged women to know their worth
'Don't be afraid of the future'

'Don't be afraid of the future'
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their split last week, confirming their divorce after eight years of marriage.
'We are sad to announce we are legally separating,' the two actors announced in a joint statement on their social media pages. 'We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.’
The statement continued: ‘Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.’
The 40-year-old actress broke her silence on the subject this week, taking Tuesday's episode of her podcast, Unqualified, to address her fans.
‘Hey dear listeners, I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I’ve been receiving,’ she opened the recording. 'I truly love you.’
At the end of the podcast, featuring Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, Anna took a call from a listener who was having boyfriend trouble, and the advice she gave was incredibly empowering.

'Don’t be afraid of the future,' Anna told the listener. 'You’re young, you’re in LA, there’s a lot of amazing people. Don’t be afraid to feel your independence.'
‘I made that mistake, I think, a little bit. Like, I’m checking my relationship off the list,' she explained to the caller, advising her 'Know your worth, know your independence, know you’re young.’
'There are so many people out there, there’s so much life experience,' she continued. 'I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people.'
Anna concluded: 'Life is too short for you to to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t value you in every way.’
