We can’t believe Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be playing this character
Is another Oscar on the cards?

Is another Oscar on the cards?
Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t shy away from epic Oscar-worthy roles, in fact his previous film credits suggest that he doesn’t play anything else.
Whether playing Romeo, Gatsby, Jordan Belfort or even Hugh Glass in The Revenant, Leo has certainly had his fair share of iconic roles, and it turns out he’s lined up another one.
That’s right. Leo hasn’t slowed down since finally winning his Oscar (the most anticipated award win of all time) for his role in 2015’s The Revenant. It has just been announced that he is taking on another blockbuster, The Black Hand, and his part is an unexpected one: the Italian Sherlock Holmes.
The Black Hand will be a film adaptation of Stephen Talty’s book, with Leo not only playing the starring role of the Italian Sherlock Holmes, but also reportedly producing the film.
The NYC thriller is a true story set in the early 1900s, following Joseph Petrosino, an Italian-American lawman who became famous for fighting crime. He wasn’t actually Sherlock Holmes but he was referred to as such for his investigative and crime-fighting skills.
This film will be based on Petrosino’s most famous case, when he took on the infamous New York mob: The Black Hand gang.

Leo fighting crime? We can’t wait.
As if he didn’t sound busy enough, that is just one of the Oscar-winner’s current projects. He has also signed up for a biopic of Sam Phillips, the American musician and record executive who discovered Elvis Presley, plus there’s said to be another Scorsese production on the cards too, The Devil in the White City.
